Briefly, Scott Pruitt spent over 40 grand on the Taxpayer's dime for first class air travel to Morocco for his coterie. The reason given was that he was promoting the sale of American natural gas to Morocco. Why is the Administrator of the EPA flying to Morocco to promote the sale of American natural gas? Why this is the purview of the EPA and not the Energy Department or State Department?

All you have to do is look at the house Scott Pruitt has used for his Washington residence:

Salon wrote:The building's co-owner, Vicki Hart, is married to energy lobbyist J. Steven Hart, according to ABC News. Although the network wasn't able to determine how much money EPA administrator Scott Pruitt was paying to live in the townhouse, it was believed to be roughly comparable to the market rate. If Pruitt was given any kind of advantage in terms of pricing for the townhouse, that could be construed as an improper gift.

The property is owned by a limited liability company that is associated with an address owned by the Harts. J. Steven Hart told ABC News that although his wife is a co-owner, she is not the majority owner. He refused to identify her business partners.

In addition to the ethics concerns, the townhouse situation raises serious questions about whether Hart has actually been able to influence Pruitt's policies.

Williams and Jensen, the lobbying firm of which Hart is CEO and chairman, represents among other clients Cheniere Energy Inc., which paid Hart's firm $80,000 a year to lobby about "issues related to the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG), approval of LNG exports and export facilities," as well as about policies like the Clear Air Act.

Got it? Pruitt lives in a house owned by an Energy lobbyist, and he spends 40 large of your money to promote his landlord's business, which has nothing to do with protecting the environment. I hope he is the next m'fing cabinet member to go.

Your OP seems to have no indication for an understanding of how government actually works....like how it literally functions.
Let us pretend together that you have just won the election for President - how would you hire people for the many positions ? classifieds in the local paper? recommendations from your cousin? sort through some resumes and call references?
Would you hire a person that has a contrary belief from yours about climate science to head your EPA?

I guess I do not understand the point in the OP...i mean, i get the whole tin-foil-hat conspiracy, but it doesn't really compute unless you want it to...really want it to. On one hand natural gas is a far safer fuel source than most every other fossil fuel...which does contribute to the primary cause of the EPA which is protecting human health.

I guess he was promoting natural gas sales when he also took trips on the taxpayer's dime to Disney and the Rose Bowl...

Whether or not natural gas is safe or not has nothing to do with why Scott Pruitt is peddling natural gas in Morocco. He is the head of the EPA. You can't make the argument that, on the one hand, Trump appointed Pruitt because he shares the same views regarding global warming as Trump, and on the other hand, Pruitt considers himself to be the ambassador of clean energy, at the same time he's lowering fuel efficiency and emissions standards for internal combustion vehicle and dismantling regulations for the coal industry. We should export clean LNG and keep the coal for ourselves?

If Scott Pruitt wants to promote natural gas in Morocco for his landlord, he should not spend $40,000 on first class air fare for his coterie to make the trip that has nothing, I repeat nothing to do with his job as head of the EPA. Pruitt spends more time meeting with Petrochemical advocates than he has with environmentalists.

Pruitt in charge of the EPA is liking having Gandhi run the Department of Defense.
