Slowly and methodically, Drumpf is convincing his base the country should be run like a crime syndicate. Loyalty is more important than the rule of law. The AG should cover for the President, not recuse himself like a weakling. The press should be locked up for telling the truth if it makes the President look bad. And now witnesses should be charged for helping prosecutors.

Organized crime prosecution has always been based on flipping. With respect to Trump, more and more I keep thinking about a scene from the movie Goodfellas.

That's what makes him so transparent, and why it's such a phenomenon that people actually seem to buy his BS.

But it goes to the errant identification of conspiracy so prevalent on the right these days. I mean, if people want to know what a real conspiracy looks like, they only need to watch what's happening right now with Drumpf and everyone in his orbit. The conspiracy can't really be hidden when there are that many people involved.

Unfortunately, his base are unwitting co-conspirators themselves, just by denying it's happening.

At this point, for the benefit of Ajax, Bach, subgenius and others, who apparently still blindly support or make excuses for Trump, I would like to repeat these questions I posed on another thread:

how can any sane person seriously dismiss the likelihood that Trump himself is guilty of serious wrongdoing? At the very least, Trump is guilty of such abysmally poor judgement in his choices of advisors and confidants that that in itself should disqualify him from holding any high, government position of any kind, let alone President!

You people who still blindly support Trump, do you seriously still believe he is innocent of serious wrongdoing, or do you just not care how guilty and dishonest he is or what he is guilty of, as long as he claims or seems to support what you are desperately determined to believe in?

You still didn't answer my questions! Do you still dismiss out of hand the massive and still growing evidence of Trump's corruption, dishonesty and guilt? Does it even matter to you whether or not Trump is as guilty of wrongdoing as the growing evidence against him indicates?

If Trump really is as corrupt and criminally liable as accused, are you really foolish (or bigoted) enough to believe it is impossible to remove him from office and bring him to justice without "turning our native country into a 3rd world Latin American shithole?"
