I'd rather be a Russian than a Democrat

Whatever happened to 'No Collusion' ?
First of all, let me say that it's possible to get too focused on the most extreme reactions and say they are representative of the whole.

I know that this sentiment represents a small section of America, but especially if the Democrats win the House and there are hearings and talk of impeachment, expect this sentiment to become stronger.

Perhaps it's because I grew up in the Cold War 1960's, but if you were to show Barry Goldwater that T-Shirt he would think it was from a dystopian future. Who's the big winner in that T-Shirt? Vladimir Putin. 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend', as the saying goes. These gentlemen have forgotten who the enemy is. In George Orwell's 1984, a central tenet of The Party is the mutability of history. "He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past." Think of these T-Shirts with respect the history of the last 2 years. The first 'truth' was no collusion. Now that 'no collusion' is beginning to lose its luster, you're seeing a move towards 'collusion is not a crime', the justification being that it is perfectly normal to want to get political dirt on your enemies. 'No collusion' was yesterday's truth. We have always been at war with Eastasia, as well as the Democrats.

The 1950s called and want their foreign policy back. Who cares now, right?

For me it's about stopping welfare and illegal immigration. For most on this board this is equivalent to racism. I don't see it as racist but I don't allow people calling it racist stop me from fighting these two big enemies to the working taxpayer. DJT has been and always will be the best chance at turning back the tide of these two evils. If Democrats were smart, they'd demonstrate that they're better at enforcing the border and cutting welfare spending than DJT if they really wanted to separate DJT from his base. But this is something they can never do. Hence we're left talking about things that really don't matter.

ajax, straightforward question - would you rather be a Russian in Russia, or a Democrat in the US?

Being Russian isn't a choice. Being a communist is. Perhaps you mean is Russia a bigger threat to American liberty than the Democratic party? You already know my feelings on that.

No, I mean, in the same context as the t-shirts worn by these gents. I suppose that they're free to emigrate to Russia if things got too uncomfortable around here for them.

Would you rather become a citizen of Russia than register as a Democrat in the States?

That's a tough one. I'd probably rather become a citizen of Russia.

Which just goes to show how paralyzingly ignorant you really are.

Yes, move to Russia, comrade.
