so you disagree with the following?:
Most civilian workers are slated to receive a 2.1 percent increase under a years-old government formula. But the president argues that pay raises should be tied to “performance” rather than “across-the-board” increases.

His rationale was concerning the deficit caused by his idiotic tax cuts for the wealthy. He wants to offset those deficits by screwing over 2 million American workers, which is typical. The "performance" crap is just that, crap. Not all federal jobs are performanced based. You either do your job or you don't. If "performance" is a requirement for all pay raises for all jobs then why not apply it to the military?
These pay increases were intended to keep with the pace of inflation, and with inflation rising roughly 2 million workers will get an effective drop in pay.
So much for the awesome booming economy and the dramatic rise in wages.

The massive tax cuts Trump and the GOP gave to the wealthiest of the wealthy obviously have to be offset somehow to avoid incurring enormous increases in deficits and the national debt. Where else can that money come from other than from taking more away from the already poor? Why isn't the brazen mendaciousness and horrible unfairness of this blazingly obvious to everyone? The GOP even admits that they intend for the massive tax cuts to be permanent for the very wealthy, and the comparatively miniscule tax cuts to everyone else to be temporary, and that the poor, who can least afford it will, after a few years, be paying more than ever. This is outrageous! How can anyone not see that?

It is cute that you're worried about a $400,00 salary but not the fact that his travel expenses are already on pace to outstrip all records. Or the fact that he is lining his, his familes, and his businesses pockets via the Presidency, while still in office. Made even worse by the fact that he refuses to divest from them or disclose where their monies are coming from.

He takes much more than a salary you moron. He's making more money off the Presidency than any other President in history. But you think he isn't because he says no to a relatively small salary.
