Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling on President Trump to follow through on his pledge to donate $1 million to the charity of Warren’s choice if she takes a DNA test proving her Native American heritage.

In a tweet Monday morning, Warren said Trump should direct the funds to the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, which works to stop domestic violence targeting Native American women and children.

We all know he won't pay it. Elizabeth Warren can get in line behind everyone else he owes money to. The Trump family motto is the opposite of the Lannisters. A Trump never pays his debts.

Real question, what percentage of DNA would you need to be considered x-y-z, or that you're of x-y-z heritage?

For example, I have 3% Scandinavian DNA (down from 17% when they revised their technique, I guess). How much of a claim to Scandinavian heritage would make sense to claim?

As an aside, I'm fine with not being Scandinavian, I'm just curious if there's some sort of standard that applies when claiming heritage.

I think you're required to have at least 50% Native American to get free college at universities that offer this benefit.

I don't know. But I do know that my great-grandfather on my Mom's side was married to an Indian. I saw family photos and you can clearly see she is a Native American.

My Mom has always had darker skin, dark eyes and dark hair. My brother and sister look a lot like her, dark hair and dark eyes. I, however, took after our father. I have his green/blue eyes and when I was younger I had platinum blonde hair and freckles and my hair gradually got darker over the years. You just never would have guessed I had any Native American blood. For most of my life people joked that I must have been adopted because I looked so different from the rest of the family. Parents divorced when I was 10 so it was usually just the four of us.

Anyway, I took the Ancestry.com test and it says I'm 2% Native American, 1% European Jew, and the rest is basically a mix between Scotland/Ireland and Germany.

I would have thought more than 2% given that my grandfather was supposedly 50%.

No, it isn't that high. At the time I was applying for college someone mentioned to me that it had to be 1/16th because that was the minimum for tribal membership. So that's like 6%.

Didn't she claim minority status to help fulfill her employers diversity requirements. The DNA estimates for Warren were 1/32 to as low as 1/512 Native American. Is that what companies mean when they tell the government they have Native Americans working for them for tax purposes?

I'm pretty sure it was 50% Native American to get free tuition at BYU.

Drumpf called Warren a fraud, which is scary, given Drumpf's expertise on being a fraud.

Here's a challenge: try to find Drumpf making a criticism of anyone without it looking like projection on his part.
