Meanwhile, in the Ecuadorian Embassy...

Post by _MeDotOrg »

...Our intrepid traveler, Julian Assange, is suing the embassy that has been his residence since 2012:
USA Today wrote:Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who has been holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy for six years, is suing Ecuador for "violating his fundamental rights and freedoms" by imposing new rules regarding his use of the Internet, political activity, bathroom hygiene and care of his cat, according to media reports.

Baltasar Garzon, the lawyer for Wikileaks, the whistleblower website that Assange founded, has arrived in Ecuador to pursue the case, which is expected to be heard in a domestic court next week.

First of all, cudos for having a lawyer named Baltasar Garzon. Unfortunately, a recent regime change in Ecuador has left the country far less sympathetic to Mr. Assange and his cat. His cat used to tweet under the moniker EMBASSY CAT, but his cat has lost his Twitter privileges.

I could never see Julian as a dog person.
