https://www.businessinsider.com/right-w ... ia-2018-10The US Justice Department has charged a Russian woman with links to a close ally of President Vladimir Putin with conspiring to interfere in the upcoming US midterm elections.
The criminal complaint, filed in September and publicly disclosed on Friday, alleges that Elena Khusyaynova was instrumental in a wide-ranging campaign to influence American politics via social media, evidence that Russian attempts to interfere in domestic American affairs did not end with the 2016 US election.
The efforts, apparently referred to as Project Lakhta," involved the creation of thousands of social media and email accounts, and had a budget of more than $35 million, the criminal complaint alleges.
As in 2016, the fake accounts posted highly politically charged content to social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter in apparent attempts to inflame the domestic political divisions that have split America.

Those images are just a tiny fraction of Facebook meme-propaganda spread by Russian operatives in order to sow discord among the American electorate.
For any Conservatives that might feel threatened by this reality please re-read this Wiki entry which I've referenced half a dozen times:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundatio ... eopoliticsThis is straight up right out of their playbook to divide us and tear apart our country. I'd say they're doing a pretty good job.

Being practical, the kind of money we're talking about, those ads aren't designed to have any meaningful impact with voters. They're designed to give partisans something to bitch about. Sowing discord, yes. Impacting elections? No. Making the media insane? Yes. Giving bureaucrats justification to launch "investigations" of their political foes? Yes. There's a lot of hypocrisy in this. Why are we charging foreign actors that will never appear in a court and can't defend themselves? As opposed to more meaningful things. It's all for show.

HTF do you know the reasoning behind Russian attempts to produce fake news memes?
Of course they're meant to impact elections. Your theory above is just dumb, like most everything else you post.

Well, Kevin, I give them the benefit of the doubt and assume them to be smarter than you are.

a.k.a...."how do you know? when only i know!"

Nope. Most intelligent adults recognize that Russia is less interested in the candidates and more interested in the voters.

This looks like something a democrat operative would put out to push the Russia narrative further. Notice how it dovetails nicely into obvious racism and obvious denials of Russian involvement (just what a Russian influenced Trump would do .......) This meme really looks like Corporate Democrat conspiracy theory, just in time for the elections.
Why doesn't the democratic party give the people what they want, like universal health care, end the wars, roll back the security state, break up the monopolies? If they did that, they would win in a landslide but would have to say goodbye to their wall street donors.

This. So much this. If Democrats were fighting this fight, I would seriously consider voting for some democrats. Other than the blind pursuit of power, I honestly don't have a clue what it is that democrats supposedly stand for.

They stand for anti-trump whatever and Russian hysteria. I personally think Trump is a T.V. clown but how about challenging him on the real issues. He is a supposed maniac but the corporate democrats gave him the biggest military budget ever. Also, Kavanaugh should have been challenged on his love of the security state at the expense of the constitution instead of these dubious sex allegations.

What other options did they have? Kavanaugh's confirmation was running along smoothly. I thought they should've focused on his lying and some of the other things Gunnar was good enough to point out, but they were too inept at that. So they decided to throw all in on a false and malicious accusation that was impossible to prove or disprove in the hopes they could gain steam for the mid-terms. Whether or not this somehow plays into Russian meddling via social media is unknown.

Sure, they could have questioned him on his lying, also his participation with the Bush II admin torture enterprise
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/29/us/brett-kavanaugh-signing-statements.html. They could have easily admitted error and undone the 3/5 equals a simple majority that my former senator Harry Reid nonsensically put forward in 2013 and then filibustered Kavanaugh to death.
https://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/lawmaker-news/306330-nuclear-option-for-supreme-court-nominees-will-damage-senate. But they were unwilling to challenge the pick of the 1% and their donors, at least so it seems.
