I thought they had food programs in the US.
Yeah, but lots of people are saying that they are only used by people who are too poor to deserve to eat.
And by members of Al Qaeda, of course. They're coming over the border in caravans all the time. Though there are some very fine people in Al Qaeda. Trump will be signing an Executive Order to end this, any day now ...

Louisiana made the list even with governor Jon Bell Edwards (D) eliminating the work requirements for food stamps.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

I'm fairly certain these are some of the most obese states, too. There's a level of incongruity with your implied assertion.

That’s because telling anyone what eating habits might not be too healthy is an infringement on their right as ‘Mericans to eat whatever the hell they want, whenever they want it. Healthy eating is for fascist wimps who want to take away your freedomz. We remember this from when Michelle Obama dared suggest that children shouldn’t dine exclusively on pork rinds and Mountain Dew, and the resulting Red State outrage that followed.

So, they're not actually hungry? Got it.

Did he change his mind or something? This is what he campaigned on.

I’m pretty sure that it’s possible to be obese and hungry at the same time. I’ll have to check with an obese and/or hungry person, just in case.
But I’m also thinking that a belly full of pork rinds and Mountain Dew could fill you up pretty well, while still ‘starving’ you of a few essential nutrients. ; )

I thought they had food programs in the US.
From that article:
These states have the highest percentages of American households who experienced hunger: New Mexico, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina and Maine.
New Mexico and Maine are not red states.
