We knew it was coming and it's still quite foreboding.

I can only imagine this nightmare if Democrats didn't win the House.

In other, more minor news, the Pentagon nixed "Operation Faithful Patriot" to deal with the migrant caravan and relabeled it ordinary border support. One day after the election. That should be a major scandal, but it's tiddlywinks for this admin and it's going to get worse fast.

Gotta give Trump credit that making people upset that Jeff Sessions lost a job is an impressive accomplishment.

Democrats will have to have the Mueller investigation reconstitute within the context of Congressional oversight powers, which isn't quite the same thing. Sessions replacement, if there was any doubt, is openly hostile to the Mueller investigation and has discussed the need to cripple it and speculated on means for the AG to do so.
Whatever Mueller has got up to this point probably is it.

From some brief Google-fu, it looks like Whitacre’s basic timeline is:
- Join advisory board of a firm that gets closed by the FTC for Fraud.
- Write an op-ed saying Meuller is going too far.
- Become Chief of Staff a month later.
- Have Kelly describe you as a Trump loyalist.
- Become AG.
