World War I through the narcissistic lens of Trump

Leaving the White House to go to Paris to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, which he anticipated "would be a very beautiful (?) period of time" (I would have gone with 'somber', but whatever...)
So I guess a few of the countries were going to pass on the commemoration, until they heard the United States was coming? Excuse me, but Jesus H. Christ, does he really think the rest of the world needs the United States in order to remember World War I?
These are only a few words, but they speak volumes about the way Trump sees the world. There is no history, it's a popularity contest.
