They don't care because he's rubberstamping GOP legislation, placing Conservative justices, approving their notion of social justice, reversing RvW where he can, tellings Libs to eat crap, and spends a buttload on the military.

Basically they believe Jesus is using a Porter Rockwell type to right a whole bunch of historical wrongs.

No one, including me, is saying that his using notes is a sign of stupidity. That he was so incoherent and rambling despite relying on notes is the proof of his stupidity. Based on his past history and performance, he would have looked even stupider had he spoken off the cuff without the aid of notes.

When I watched the video I thought part of the problem was his talking points. His going on about giving the military free reign to take on ISIS and "win" combined with tax cuts seemed a little stale. Then the video pointed out the number of times he'd been golfing in the number of weeks since taking office and it made more sense.

So he is not the best reader. It takes practice to be a good sight reader and Trump has others to read documents for him and give a one or two sentence summary of what was written. To complain about Trump's poor reading skills is like an open attack of dyslexia Americans.

Trump's allegedly poor reading skills are not the relevant issue here. It is his embarrasingly poor grasp of almost any issue about which he concerns himself and offers his opinion.

The fact that Trump use notes concerns me in the least. It's what happens when he stops reading notes and starts listening to the electrical impulses between his ears that's alarming. He thinks those impulses are thoughts.

This lame duck period right now feels like the calm before the storm. Corey Lewandowski releases a book on November 27th explaining how the deep state is destroying the Trump Presidency. The release will probably coincide with a few subpoenas/and/or/indictments from Mueller next week. The battle lines are being drawn: Is this a battle of the Constitutional balance of powers against a corrupt President, or the entrenched bureaucratic deep state fighting for its survival against an iconoclastic President?

And away from the blizzard of subpoenas that will be coming with the new Congress, Trump will be fighting legal battles over emoluments and charities. We could possibly end up with a President politically bleeding to death in office, but a Senate unwilling to convict him in an impeachment trial.

We are living through a slow-motion final denouement.
