The depth and scope of Trump's lies are unprecedented and not something that can be equated to the lazy cliché that politicians lie. This address is likely to contain extensive dishonest claims in the service of manufacturing the perception of a crisis that does not exist.subgenius wrote:gee, EAllusion how insightful of you...I never would guess that a politician might lie....so impressed with your insight....got any of the superior intellect leftover to comment on the actual OP?
I had thought that networks might decide not to broadcast this, they've certainly got the precedent from the Obama years. That they have chosen to air it while also broadcasting the rebuttal by Pelosi and Schumer (at least a few are) will probably just do a great job at framing it as Republican vs Democrat, as opposed to the more accurate fiction vs reality. Can't appear biased though, plus it sells... so that's cool.EAllusion wrote:The depth and scope of Trump's lies are unprecedented and not something that can be equated to the lazy cliché that politicians lie. Do you have any tool in your belt besides false equivalence? You've been trolling for a decade with virtually no improvement despite all the practice. It's sad.

Kevin Graham wrote:I thought the reason Trump got elected is because he wasn't a politician. The people were tired of politicians because they lie?
