Smollett knew there Is a far greater demand for racism, discrimination and TDS from the left than actual supply could ever possibly meet. It was simple supply/demand economics in his mind. And he was so accurate, it sold out in a matter of hours!

Unfortunately he just lacked common sense in execution: He paid the two Nigerian brothers WITH A PERSONAL CHECK!!!

Actually, I think the vast majority of liberals were at work and otherwise living busy, productive lives. Some may have briefly heard this story on the news, but most probably did not.

In contrast, a huge swath of the right spend an inordinate amount of time listening to hate jocks on AM Radio and Fox News, and spent hours upon hours listening to propogandists using this weird isolated incident as an excuse to fan their hate of the other half of America.

The fact that you had the time to watch enough propoganda to think this is even an issue proves that you aren't a business executive. Business executives don't have time to watch so much propoganda.

The only news organizations I can find covering it are Fox News, Campus Reform and the linked source. Not only id the 'centrist' media not covering it, they aren't turning it into the type of narrative this would be turned into if this happened to be a MAGA hat wearer assaulting a "progressive" student.

Credit to BuzzFeed for temporarily stepping outside of its echo chamber - it's a big anomaly that I can't explain.

Put this in context: the national media, a few weeks ago, was happy to devote round-the-clock resources to dragging KIDS through the mud for smirking while wearing a MAGA hat, all the while refusing to focus on the GROWN-UP Black Israelites and Native Americans calling them f******, incest babies and crackers, or telling them to "go back to Europe."

This is the same national media that has, in 2019 alone:

Propagated a hoax hate crime started by actor Jussie Smollett with zero corroborating evidence

Afforded sympathetic treatment to an actual ISIS terrorist:

Mostly buried the Reid Hoffman story (i.e. LinkedIn's CEO spent $100,000 spreading disinformation about Roy Moore's electoral campaign; this is the same campaign budget spent by the Internet Research Agency that received months worth of press coverage).

In one publication, OUT magazine, accused Trump of racism for his policy encouraging the worldwide decriminalization of homosexuality:

And if we go back to late 2018, and in a sign of how they're trying to make racism socially acceptable again, uniformly came out in defence of a racist and bigoted New York Times journalist called Sarah Jeong who, among thousands of other tweets, claimed she loves "being cruel to old white men" and believes "white people should live underground like grovelling goblins."

So, please. Let's drop any and all pretense the vast majority of the media is centrist or has any modicum of a non-Liberal bias. And no, reframing Leftists as centrists is about as effective as framing Republicans as Nazis. It's tiresome and it's not working. It's ripping our country apart.

Maybe I'm not understanding the complaint, so I can admit if I misread it. The FEC says 'she' paid a PAC (she's against those) which paid a company, which paid her boyfriend. I'm not a lawyer, but this sounds illegal to me.



Maybe Trump has me on edge about people draining the swamp, and then get swampy, though there's no true comparison between him and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

And if I had to guess, Jussie Smollett rationalized to himself that he was just pushing forward the narrative of history. This happens a lot in our country right now, where the lines are being blurred between narrative and reality.

Kudos to the investigators. They did a great job of assembling electronic data for the sequence of events. Smollett is toast.

When I first heard the report I thought Smollett was from Hamilton). While I have never seen Empire, my first inclination was to believe Mr. Smollett, because most people don't arrange to be attacked in the middle of the night. The MAGA hats seemed a suspicious detail, but without knowing anything else, my first impulse was to believe him.

What has Smollett done? He used a staged hate crime as a commodity to advance his career. He has diminished the impact of future hate crime reports. Those with a predisposition to disregard such events will now say 'just another Jussie Smollett'. He has given shade to racists and homophobes.

If Smollett doesn't think he's being paid enough now, wait until his next contract negotiation, which may come next week. When informed that Elvis Presley died, one Hollywood agent said "Good career move." Smollett will find himself in a similar situation.
