Yeah, I know Cam mentioned that previously but the more I think about it, the more I think it just wouldn't be feasible due to time constraints particularly if you were trying to make it work over a holiday.

Ah, it's a Saturday afternoon in the Spring, when a young girl's fancy turns to thoughts of how to burn a human body into powder.

Seriously, cremation burns up a human body more like coarse sand than a powder. A wood chipper would not be the ideal instrument for turning a human body into powder. How fine a powder you want (I suppose) depends on its ultimate purpose: Dessert topping? Makeup base? Something to smoke or snort?

I would imagine that there are some true crime website discussion groups where you could probably find the answer. Private message on such sites at your own risk.

Sort kinda. Yep.

I am NOT talking about cremation. I'm talking about your average citizen burning up a body in the backyard in some kind of container like a fire barrel or a large industrial smoker. I have cremains, I know what they are like. Typically after cremations the bones are ground up. So what I'm talking about is basically a DIY version of the same process.

It was just an idea. I've only put actual wood through a chipper.

Small enough so animals won't eat it and possibly leave bits around where sniffer dogs would hit on it or where it wouldn't be found if someone dredged the pond you threw them in.

Something to smoke or snort?

:surprised:

Keith Richards did NOT smoke or snort his father's ashes! He's alternately made and denied that claim.

Thanks, but no.

My Great Grandfather was a coffee broker, and my Grandfather lost his finger down to the second knuckle in a coffee grinder. There might be some sort of industrial coffee or chocolate grinder...

I'm imagining a future full of Soylent Green and Starbucks...
