Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III wrote a letter in late March complaining to Attorney General William P. Barr that a four-page memo to Congress describing the principal conclusions of the investigation into President Trump “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of Mueller’s work, according to a copy of the letter reviewed Tuesday by The Washington Post.

Robert Mueller wrote:There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.

According to the Times, "When Barr pressed Mueller on whether he thought Barr’s memo to Congress was inaccurate, Mueller said he did not, but felt that the media coverage of it was misinterpreting the investigation, officials said."

So Mueller felt the views of the Special Counsel's report in Barr's memo were misleading to the public.

I'm sure the President will now severely chastise his AG for misleading the American people.

Barr is up to testify to the senate tomorrow or the next day, I believe. Good timing on this story.

Mueller didn't accuse Barr of misleading because Mueller says the Barr memo is not inaccurate. His beef from the above quote is how the media was misinterpreting the Barr memo. So how is Barr misleading by giving an accurate memo to Congress? How can Barr be responsible if the media misinterprets what he says? Isn't the media to blame here?

Mueller said that the summaries were already marked with redactions that he wanted to make. Barr is totally misconstruing what happened in his testimony.

It seems this is about Mueller not liking Barr's accurate summary and wanted his own summary to be shown to the media. I guess Mueller is entitled to push for his summary. However, Barr can speak for himself and opine on the report via his own summary. So where is Barr full of crap in his accurate summary? This summary fight seems like political nonsense to me.

Actually, Mueller provided summaries and the redactions. Barr got up and claimed that he needed to summarize what was already summarized and then claimed that he could not release Mueller's summaries because they needed to be redacted. Well, they were. Barr's a liar.

But Barr's summary was accurate, right? This is really about whose summary should have been given to the media. Also, Mueller's complaint was about how the media misinterpreted the summary. How so? No conspiracy and no collusion were found. That's what Barr said. No obstruction but no exoneration. Barr said that accurately. So, it comes down to Barr claiming redactions were needed when they weren't?
