Buttigieg the smartest, Trump the dumbest

Post by _moksha »

Pete Buttigieg is the smartest of all the candidates running, while Donald Trump is the dumbest.

Wouldn't the second law of thermodynamics covering entropy favor Trump in this regard?

Elizabeth Warren strikes me as the most intelligent candidate running. "Who is the smartest" should be pretty low on your priorities for selecting a person to vote for, though.

Really? What do you consider more important?

GOP voters certainly don't care about intelligence, and check out that party.

I am certainly curious a to how either the OP or you are able to determine the "smart"-ness of a candidate. Is it from their heavily produced website? well groomed photo? rehearsed and coached Q&A softball interviews?...or perhaps it is their titillating platform positions conveyed during the most accurate of all "smart"-ness forums - the stump speech.

Professional background, knowledge, extemporaneous ability to speak intelligently on a variety of topics, evidence of reasoning like an intelligent person does.

Don’t let the fact that you support a walking Dunning-Krueger effect who speaks like a cross between an idiot trying to BS his way through life and someone suffering a serious neurological condition leave you so insecure. You know it’s possible to get an approximate sense of personal intelligence from how people communicate.

Policy preferences and priorities, ability to lead / persuade, likely admin staffing decisions, disposition under stress, etc. Almost everything. You don’t want an idiot in office, but once you hit a certain threshold, intelligence strikes me as not nearly as important as a lot of other things when picking a candidate.

Hey, now. That guy’s a business genius - he only had to pawn off 1.17 billion dollars of losses on to the public to enable himself to keep a couple hundred million in real estate hanging around. ; )

I think Moe is the smartest, but Lou Costello might be the most intelligent, and are our early favorites...but I believe Sergeant O'Rourke and Roger Healey are in the mix due to their military back ground, but Gilligan might just come through in the end...if he can get off that damn Island.

Come on guys...think about what our choices are?

He would never make it unless he decides to wear a suit and tie, dockers and tennis shoes won't work...but maybe Lovey has a chance.
