Another Day, Another Trump Rape Accusation

So journalist E. Jean Carroll has accused Trump of trying and half succeeding in raping her. I didn't even hear about it until this afternoon.
Of course, it's just another Republican being credibly accused of a deplorable crime. What's new? It's not like the base cares (abortion is worse than rape!)
No wonder this is hardly news. I imagine this surprises nobody, and that Trump's idiocy with Iran is a better selling story.
