I had a patient come in bitching about border enforcement in Texas. I just smiled, did a 7, 4, and out the door and told him to pay his bill at the front desk.

The patient didn't think so. I didn't see it prudent to tell him I think the border should be enforced and we should make Mexico pay for the wall. He got his glasses at a low price. I got paid. Do we really have to fight out immigration policy (over which each of us have an insignificant amount of say) between us at every annual checkup? What would that have accomplished?

I'd do an exam in spanish for Ana Ocasio Cortez if she were self pay and not using some lousy vision insurance. I'll even listen to her political propaganda but only for 10 minutes max. Other people are always waiting in my practice.

Why should any country pay for a wall another country wants to build? If Canada wants to build a wall on it's southern border should the US pay for it? If not explain why the US should not have to pay for a wall Canada wants to build but Mexico should have to pay for a wall the US wants to build.

When the US starts dumping as many economic refugees in your country as Latin America does in the US, I'll be happy to campaign for the US to pay for a wall to be built on the Canadian border.
