Rather, there seems to be an idea afoot that we cannot continue to address disparities with programs like affirmative action admissions standards because either (1) it is no longer needed because racism no longer exists and blacks enjoy a complete parity of opportunity as whites, and/or (2) such programs are increasing discrimination against whites.

Feel free to present that evidence, if you feel that whites are suffering from increasing discrimination. Let's look at the data. We seem to have plenty of it for how blacks are affected by it; present your arguments otherwise.

That sounds like evidence for how discrimination is trending. It also pointed out your sense there is discrimination against whites on the rise comes from viewing the increasing diversity in America as a zero sum position that must mean whites are being proportionately disadvantaged as the number of non-whites in the US increases.

i think any dispute for the alleged perceived opinions for the trend direction of white discrimination would be based on more than some rather narrow experiments in housing and employment. While the article whitewashed the distinction between disparity and discrimination on the topic, i believe the OP lacks an actual premise and an actual meaningful discourse.
And to what end is this article? Are we all in agreement that the science being cited is changing hearts and minds? or is it just more preaching to the choir? Its not really surprising to notice that KG lives in an echo chamber of ebdless circle jerks...but one has to question the resolution being sought here.
