What is the Cosmological Structure of MDB?

I was looking at Avatars and noticed that a lot of people in this forum are Gods. Is MDB a polytheistic universe? Or all we all just different manifestations of the same godhead? Or is this a Trumpian Universe, where narcissism makes each of us a possible God?

I'm just wondering how each of you justifies their status as a God. I am the God of Assignments. Your assignment is to write a brief essay explaining why you are a God. Please begin your essay with the words "In the beginning..."

In the beginning, God created Shades. And Shades begat Mormon Discussions. Yea, Kingdoms Celestial, Terrestrial and Telestial. Created He them. And there were other Kingdoms, Off Topic. And Off topic begat Paradise and Paradise begat Prison. More accurately, ldsfaqs begat Prison.

And Shades saw that it was good.

And Shades spaketh thusly, "It is not good for Shades to be alone". And there went out a decree in all the virtual world, that Mormon Discussions was open for business.

And as if Shades had prophesied it, a Great Flood of posters arrived in Mormon Discussions. There was Harmony and EAllusion, and Liz and Jersey Girl, and marg, and Agostini and Keene Maverick, and Polygamy Porter and all the Brethren and Sistern they did arrive. They came from Z and FAIR and RFM, and the Foyer, and God only knows where else they came from.

They settled in Kingdoms Celestial, Terrestrial and Telestial. And others yea, atheists, agnostics, Mormons and even a few outlier Nevers.

And they spake.

They spake of Mormonism, Apologists, they spake of whathisname Gordon B. Hinckley, they spake of DCP and there were buttheads and yahoo's, all of these they spake.

And when they spake (let him who has eyes--read) 1,000 times each. They were exalted to Godhood. And Shades did celebrate with Exaltation to Godhood announcements! And the people they did cheer their fellow and sister discussors. Be they atheist, Mormons, Nevers, Believers, Flying Spaghetti Monster followers. They all did cheer!

I've thought about the parallels of ldsfaqs being cast out of Paradise and Satan. But I kinda think of faqs as a serpent at the tree of knowledge who had the apple of good and evil, but refused to take a bite himself.

Nah. That was back when the board Shades had a personality. 30K+ posts and I don't got nothing for it. And that includes however long I was eternally banned for. Once he got us he thought he owned us. He just takes us for granted now.

Just for the record. I never really liked the goddess suite thing. Started out kinda fun but once it started to turn sleazy (my opinion) I told others to leave my name out of it.

Fair enough. That's the problem with boards having personality, though. The store that once offered over 31 flavors comes to just sell the couple of flavors that have the most mass appeal without offending other's tastes. After a while people start taking the fun out of it and eventually it becomes vanilla while those who can't stand vanilla break off into smaller and smaller niche groups who only like Nitro Chocolate Nougat Extreme.

So, for the record, I think a huge part of it is we lost personalities that gave the board personality. Change. Whatchya gunna do?
