What will/did Mueller say?

The envelope to my forehead suggests that Mueller will paint an unfocused picture of Trump and seek to release as few details as possible per the request of Attorney General Barr.

NYT has a great piece on the Mueller testimony:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/201 ... on=topNews

Basically the list 19 questions they'd ask him during his appearance before Congress. It's worth the read.

For what it is worth, I've read the Mueller Report and Collins' line of questioning recently is dishonest as hell. The report has a section where it says, in essence, that conspiracy is the the version of collusion that exists in legal statue. It does not say that collusion is colloquially synonymous with conspiracy. It says it conspiracy is the closet legal equivalent of collusion. Mueller is able to make this distinction live, but Collins' fast-talking tries, and probably persuasively tries to the naïve observer, to make it look like Mueller is contradicting himself.

It's just blatant dishonesty.

It's hard to parse out what's going on with all the grandstanding. It'd be nice if each of the questioners had one, clear, unambiguous, non-wordy question that they could ask him and then they could spend the five minutes hasing out that one, clear, unambiguous, non-wordy question.

I also feel like Mueller is playing up his Grand Maester Pycelle routine. I expected him to be exceptionally clear minded and sharp, and he's coming off as bumbling and confused. C'mon.

He's very old.

This should've been done with members ceding their time to a legal counsel to ask questions in a systematic way. That's not going to happen. Instead we get grandstanding. The Democrats' strategy seems to be just to get Mueller to state key points from his report so it penetrates to the public more. There's nothing coming of this if you already understand the report.

Yep. And these Republicans are doing their best to propagate the baseless conspiracy theories... "investigate the investigators."

They should have Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ask all the questions.

I didn't see that part but I just flipped to FOX and that's what they're focusing on. They're saying Mueller backpedaled on that issue.

Mueller just confirmed that a President, post-term, can be prosecuted for obstruction of justice. That's no bueno for Trump.
