Why is Australia a giant s***hole?

Katherine has a money back guarantee that your house WILL get broken into. Banbury is considered to be the meth capital of Australia. In Elizabeth 'going directly to jail' sums up local career opportunities. Campbelltown reaks of, "I live in Campbelltown and I know I am down on my luck". Wlicania, well, when people say, "At least we don't live in Wilcania." you know you are THE shithole within the shithole. Surfers is comprised of oof-oof clubs, strippers, more oof-oof clubs, more strippers, then a quiet bar full of sad old bogans, repeat the proces up and down Australia's coastline and it makes Myrtle Beach look positively urbane. Has anyone seen the Loganbogandome? Port Hedland is dustbowl shithole. And does Meekatharra still exist, or did all the residents stab each other with screwdrivers, yet?

I mean, it goes on and on with Australia. It's just a damned grimy, cousin damned mess down under. One has to start to wonder what Aussieguy's motivations are by constantly projecting his state's insecurities onto the US. Is he a troll? Does he suffer from some sort of understandable inferiority complex as his country, which never really got its crap together in the first place, crumbles all around him and he watches impotently as wave after wave of immigrants flood into his country and make a better go of it than his bogan ass ever did?

What say you Aussieguy? Why does your country, you know the one that committed genocide against its own indigenous peoples, has multitudinous anti-Indian/Chinese/Muslim racists bursting at the seems, and has essentially killed the earth's Great Barrier Reef (good job assholes) and is such a disastrous country that it couldn't even get to the point of going INTO decline, but rather just exists in an infinite recursion of shittiness, insist upon making Mad Max's dystopian nightmare an inevitabilty?

Doc, it sounds as though you've raised China's 50-Cent Army by at least two bits. How dare Aussieguy hurt the feelings of American posters! What if the kangaroos went in full revolt and had a jumping rebellion? Crikey mate, you'de need a lot of Fosters and Vegemite to get through that one.

It's no mistake and no wonder that Australia's best-known export was created by Americans. Granted the beer is considered to be skuzzy at best, but let's face the awful truth: Even Australians couldn't figure out how to export a product and needed the help of Americans to do it. ;)

Let’s not be too hard on Australia. They do have some good wine producers. : D

You wouldn't be talking about Yellow Tail, would you? They do offer up a pretty good wine at a reasonable cost. It's not surprising that the irredeemable Australians (the White invading kind that viciously displaced the native populations), who without the benefit of the Casella family immigrating from Italy seeking a better life in a Western Liberal Democracy, couldn't produce of their own accord clean drinking water needed an American to export the Fosters beer of the wine world. Bill Deutsch was solely responsible for getting the Casella family's product into the world's market, and notably from Wiki, "And in 2005, Yellow Tail sold more wine to the US than all the French producers combined."

Anyway.

I'm just concerned that as western liberal democracies continue on their downward death spiral, Australia, the flagship western liberal democracy in the Pacific, being rife with corruption and cultural rot, is infecting Oceania and Southeast Asia with its utterly depraved ethos. I think their only hope is probably a strongly centralized government that plans its economic and social programs ensuring a unity of democratic spirit. But, we'll see. They don't have a good human rights track record, what with keeping immigrants and children in cages offshore so they can avoid those pesky mainland laws. :(

That's odd. And here I thought the US was the giantist shithole. You mean there's people worse off than I am?

Absolutely not. America is, hands down, and I'm just being fair here, The Biggest Shithole on Earth. I'm just pointing out that another bastion of western liberal democracy is problematic, and could use some serious centralized control to ensure it doesn't keep repeating the mistakes of being a liberal democracy, and relying on shitbags from America to help its wine and beer economies. Also, beware, Australia is well-known for its crime and for its cities making 'the most dangerous cities in Oceania' lists. For example:

SIX out of the top 10 hail from Australia. What in the world is going on down there?!?!?

A lot to respond to. In 2008 we had a Parliament that made a national apology to the indigenous peoples.

Both sides of politics supported this.

Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., originally introduced a bill intending "to officially apologize for the past ill-conceived policies by the U.S. government toward the Native peoples of this land and re-affirm our commitment toward healing our nation's wounds and working toward establishing better relationships rooted in reconciliation." His bill passed the Senate in 2008 and 2009.

President Obama signed a version that states, "on behalf of the people of the United States to all Native peoples for the many instances of violence, maltreatment, and neglect inflicted on Native peoples by citizens of the United States."

I'm sorry, but you're not going to just wipe away hundreds of years of maltreatment with a political gesture, and the fact that you, Aussie Guy, seem to lap this up as some sort of testament to your country's hubris is disappointing. Once again we see the cancerous nihilism of western liberal democracy in Oceania eat away at human dignity.

Clearly, the only way to truly solve the injustices of White Australian Oceanic imperialism is to tear down the system and start over. I recommend, very strongly, they look at Socialist models found in their own region, and, just thinking outside the box here, perhaps an Islamic model where everyone is a brother and sister within dar-al-Islam? Something to think about since it's clear western liberal democracy is an abject failure Down Under.

Over all, it sounds just a bit nicer than Alabama and a lot nicer than Mississippi.
