El Paso Walmart shooting

As I write this, 18 fatalities, but that may not be the final number.
Early reports state a man in camouflage cargo shorts, wearing ear protectors, started shooting people in the parking lot, then walked into the store and continued shooting.
Police have the suspect in custody, extraordinarily rare in these cases.

Yeah, Patrick Crusius, a white man.
So, you know, obviously he's mentally ill.
The fact that he's white was the first clue. The fact that he's a Trump fan is the second clue.

CNN reports the FBI is opening an anti-terror investigation. The suspect is being linked with anti-immigrant postings on 4chan, the same site where Brenton Tarrant, the terrorist responsible for the Christchurch Mosque massacre, made his postings.
The suspect lived in Allen, a wealthy suburb north of Dallas. It's over 600 miles from Allen to El Paso, a Mexican border town where many Mexican Nationals cross the border to shop.
Mexican President Obrado says three Mexican nationals were killed in the massacre. Six Mexican nationals were wounded.
The last known residence of the man being driven to extinction by the foreign hordes:

So maybe some of you are thinking that this 21 year old man was motivated by the anti-immigrant feelings that have been the staple of Donald Trump's Twitter feed and campaign rallies. Patrick Crusius is happy to assure you this is not the case in his manifesto:
My ideology has not changed for several years. My opinions on automation, immigration, and the rest predate Trump and his campaign for president. I putting this here because some people will blame the President or certain presidential candidates for the attack. This is not the case. I know that the media will probably call me a white supremacist anyway and blame Trump’s rhetoric. The media is infamous for fake news. Their reaction to this attack will likely just confirm that.
Whew! That's relief! Good to hear that nothing Trump has said done in the 925 days since his inauguration did anything to influence you. I never trust anyone whose political philosophy wasn't fully formed before their 19th birthday.

“I have had enough of this,” he said. “This is a uniquely American problem, a uniquely American problem that we have such mass slaughter in our communities like this.” ~ Cory Booker

It was reported the killer posted a manifesto on 8chan, so I went there and got it. I recommend reading it so you can understand the mindset that's starting to spread among this demographic:
https://media.8ch.net/file_store/7e1363 ... d39934.pdfGranted, I didn't read the Christchurch killer's manifesto, but I'd guess it was along the same lines. Radicalization can take many forms, and in this instance it's interesting to see how Internet echo chambers have created an extreme form of absurdist nihilism. As this latest manifestation of social cancer metastasizes, I think we'll see a few dozen more of these before it tapers off a bit. I certainly don't think it'll get better because we don't have the collective will to forge a society that limits access to these weapons while simultaneously promoting the structure that ensures young men don't become alienated.

"Today’s shooting in El Paso, Texas was not only tragic, it was an act of cowardice," he tweeted. "I know that I stand with everyone in this Country to condemn today’s hateful act. There are no reasons or excuses that will ever justify killing innocent people." ~ Donald Trump

Snowflake Nationalist says:
”The media is infamous for fake news. Their reaction to this attack will likely just confirm that”.
Investigators also note:
“
Authorities think the gunman posted a manifesto listing “the Hispanic invasion of Texas” as one of several motivations for the massacre”
Two observations:
1.
Dumbarse nationalist terrorist is woefully ignorant of the history of Texas.
2. Seeing as that Trump is the fellow who insisted on purposefully misusing the term, ‘Fake News’, and applying it to any media that Trump personally dislikes, it follows that
dumbarse nationalist terrorist’s comment and attempted cover here tips his hand in demonstrating that our
Dog Whistler-in-Chief did indeed influence his asinine proclivities.

And we have no one from out of Silicon Valley who is willing to put the brakes on these so-called Internet echo chambers.
You can't go to school.
You can't go to work.
You can't go to a community festival.
You can't go see a concert in Vegas.
And you can't go to damned
Walmart.

Read the manifesto that Cam linked to.
