If you think Trump is now out of control, just realize that he will continue to spin out of control at an increasing rate.

What do you think Trump will do next?

Have a heart attack.

Wait, was this a prediction thread or a wish thread?

I think Trump will step up his effort to obstruct all investigations. The Justice Department will aid in this obstruction because its underlying purpose of carrying out justice has been subverted.

I think Trump is sufficiently amoral and unhinged to seek some form of martial law/civil insurrection/foreign military intervention before he is booted out of office.

Before that time, I imagine Congressional Republicans and Fox News will move to Defcon 4.5 (total hysteria and prevarication mode) in support of Trump.

I think Trump is going to be acquitted by the Senate, and in the meantime, we'll continue to get looneytunes rants. More so, I mean. Ordinary looneytunes rants will continue unabated until a few weeks before the election, because he knows how to shut up when he has to.

In a free and fair election, Trump probably has a decent shot at winning. Maybe slightly under 50% if I were betting on conditions right now?

But Trump has given every indication that we're not gonna get a free and fair election per se. We were one whistleblower away from Trump successfully sock-puppeting a foreign country into manufacturing a scandal against his opposition that I have approximately zero doubt the media would've ran with.

How much interference is coming after the Senate acquits Trump and enshrines him above the law? I don't know, but enough to probably make him the favorite.

If Trump loses anyway? I don't know. I know there'll be some tension over whether he'll step down. The odds that he'll declare the election illegitimate due to "irregularities" and set off another constitutional crisis are less than 50%, but somewhere above 0%.

My personal nightmare scenario is that Trump is down enough in the polls that Russia uses it's well-documented penetration of our poorly defended election systems to hack in the Democrats favor. Evidence of said hacking is then uses to prove the Democratic presidency is illegitimate. Not exactly likely, but not unthinkable either.

That Republicans are out in the open kneecapping basic efforts to defend against documented penetration of our election systems and the public reaction to this so far has been a confused shrug concerns me a tad.

Well. He's really good at giving perceived enemies nicknames:

“Crooked Hillary," “Shifty Shiff,” “Sleepy Joe,” “Little Marco,” “Lyin’ Ted,” “Low Energy Jeb,” “Crazy Bernie,” “Pocahontas,” “Little Rocket Man” (now his pen pal), “Sloppy Steve,” “Jeff Flakey,” “Al Frankenstein,” and Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown got some pretty nifty monikers.

So. I think the first Republican who is a big hitter will get the next nickname.

I've actually thought about Trump having a heart attack. I doubt if he takes very good care of himself. And I don't think he's ever been this cornered in his life. So all of the stress, with his weight and diet...it's a possibility.

Quite frankly, the last thing I want for Trump is to die. I don't want to see him take a shortcut from justice.
