Republicans storm impeachment inquiry deposition in House Intel hearing roomIts almost like they're afraid of something. Weird how this happens right after Trump orders his Republican foot-soldiers to get tough and fight back.

They should've been arrested and those that have security clearances should lose them. That's that.
edit: I fully expect some utterly degenerate damned crap posting muppets to pop up on this thread or the other one as unintended object lessons on perfidy, ignorance, treachery, and vacuous blathering believing that hitting 'enter' is all it takes to counter any and all facts.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a valid point:
"Important to remember that GOP&Democrat members have been part of impeachment depositions this whole time.
All you need is to sit on the relevant committees.
If these guys are so mad, maybe they should take their little flash mob to the @GOPLeader who didn’t assign them to the task."

Just wrote about this in the Constitutional Crisis thread. Remember, the Democrats are simply following the rules that the Republican House enacted so that they could perpetually investigate Hillary Clinton in the runup to the 2016 election.

I knew there had to be some nefarious reason for that. Talk about a backfire.
What I've been seeing a lot of today on Twitter and Facebook is this claim that Ratcliffe completely dismantled Taylor's testimony and proved he is making it all up. This seems to be based on an assumption about the timeline that now turns out not to be true.

Well, first, "quid pro quo" is a red herring. Using the power of the presidency to persuade another head of state to institute a phony investigation into a political rival is an abuse of power.
Second, there was an explicit quid pro quo with respect to the meeting with Trump that Zelensky was trying very hard to get. That's not as dramatic with the military aid, but it's still a quid pro quo
Third, all this pre-spinning before the investigation is complete is just spitting into the wind.
And finally, yes. They're down to torches and pitchforks.

Well apparently abuse of power isn't a crime according to Trump's former AG.

It's not a crime. It is, however, a valid ground for impeachment.

Well, at least we've established he abused his power. That's progress.
