https://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/20 ... lxeHeatR88The editorial of Christianity Today comes out against Trump. This mag started by Billy Graham is a mag that has always supporting conservative causes. Perhaps they are getting tired of folks mocking the when Trump takes on a "spiritual adviser" as Paula White.

I read the article and think it makes a clear strong statement. Trump should be removed from office.
I know the magazine as cautious about political statements. I do not think it is always supporting conservative causes and I suspect there are conservatives who always have suspected the magazine as not being true and holy conservative.
Yet it is a conservative enough a magazine it could reach some people open to reconsidering support for Trump.

This president has dumbed down the idea of morality in his administration. He has hired and fired a number of people who are now convicted criminals. He himself has admitted to immoral actions in business and his relationship with women, about which he remains proud. His Twitter feed alone—with its habitual string of mischaracterizations, lies, and slanders—is a near perfect example of a human being who is morally lost and confused.
Even so, for Evangelicals, Trump remains the chosen one with the launch code which will rapture them into Valhalla.

People coming out to condemn him now... I mean, I welcome the additional voices, but it just feels so empty. They aren't saying anything that wasn't known 4 years ago.

And the fellow who wrote that editorial is retiring from the position in a week.
Morality, for these folks, is only as convenient as their financial self-interests allow.

Oh yeah, it makes total sense to vote for Trump because he would install right wing justices and isn't for abortion.
But since he is a Manchurian Candidate, there won't be any need for those right wing justices nor anyone to worry about the right and wrong of abortions.
Might as well start printing those Russian Bibles. Oh.. that's right, the Russians won't be allowing freedom of religion either when they walk right in and take over our country.
Yup, let the boat burn down as you fight over who gets to sit in the crow's nest.
Great strategy by the Evangelicals/Mormons/Catholics and their ilk.

Trump has come out, declaring CT to be a "far left magazine."
I think it's probably safe to say that if CT is "far left" in relation to your own place on the political spectrum, you might be a smidgeon extremist.
