A Republican state rep, the same one who made news earlier for a manifesto calling for a blood-thirsty theocracy, was uncovered as a domestic terrorist and it barely made a blip in the news. I waited a few days to see if that'd change and it never did. I know it is cliché', but if the parties were switched, this would be a major national news story. And if the religion was switched to Islam, this would be an era-defining political event that would cast a shadow over the 2016 election and probably put Muslim politicians' lives in significant danger. But, instead, just a blip. It's covered enough that anyone who pays attention to the news knows about it, but not so much that it gets major, saturation level coverage far less important stories do all the time.
I've said this before, but my theory for why this happens is that liberal journalists expect Republicans to be awful, so when they prove to be so, it isn't a shocking development to them and it doesn't seem as big of a deal. It's like reporting on cats killing birds. Right-wing media is propagandist and downplays events like this as much as possible, so they don't cover it much. This means there's no news of the day or competition based reason for mainstream journalists to pick it up, so the attention ends up being relatively muted.
But if you switch roles, then right-wing media fires up the outrage to 11 for propaganda purposes. This makes it a news story unto itself that causes other news to cover "what people are talking about." But more than that, liberal journalists get to prove how fair they are by giving scrutiny to a legitimate negative issue concerning liberals/Democrats.
And so these liberal idiots create a massive right-wing bias in the media.

His brand of crazy is certainly a sort of subculture that runs throughout the Inland Empire (Eastern Washington, No. Idaho, West MT). Think of it like a cousin to Ajax’s inbred WV supremacist buddies.
