No jail time for possessing any drug ever
This is what Buttgieg wants.
I personally like the idea of decriminalizing drug use if we could get rid of welfare. Otherwise people will just be perpetually drunk or high if their paycheck remains about the same. I don't see how just taxing the rich would pay for a society of addicts and endless rehab clinics.
I'd also say that many people remain in chronic pain that is incurable. They function best with drugs. Yet our war on opioids has done nothing but make the lives of these people more difficult and of lower quality, not to mention more expensive.

And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Well at least the Drug Addict-in-Chief would be able to get his Adderall easier if it were legal. As to your broader point, ok.

I basically agree with this. I mostly don't like the current war on opioids.

Are we to think that decriminalizing marijuana applies to all drugs?

Buttigieg wants possession of any drug, methamphetamine, cocaine, etc. to never be punishable with jail time.

I'd like to put a stop to people collecting a disability check for alcoholism now as well.

What about possession of stolen prescription meds?
This is the full story. According to how I interpret the quote stolen prescription meds would be included in Buttigieg's proposed jailtime immunity policy.
