This was well done...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ch7_t2R ... GyUINxsRfUThis timeline makes it pretty indisputable that the President refused to take seriously the counsel of experts who were trying to keep him informed the entire time, and instead defaulted to his usual lying and dissembling in order to rhetorically deflect attention away from his prioritization of his own personal interests and his abject and utter incompetence. I think these are facts beyond any reasonable dispute:

Maryland GOP Governor: ‘No Question’ Donald Trump Made A Mistake With Coronavirus ResponseThere needs to be a catalog of Trump's persistent attempts to downplay the virus prior to his National Emergency declaration, as well as his subsequent comments trying to politicize it and push his previous lies. Just yesterday I heard him in a press conference repeat the tired lie four times in 30 seconds that "We're still getting billions and billions from China because of the tariffs." Reporters aren't even pushing back on these lies anymore because all he does is cut them off, speak over them, deflect with another "we're doing so awesome" quip, and then moves to a different question.

Why? Everyone knows he screwed up unless they're part of the cult.
I've given up on trying to tell people what is in their best interest if they're too damned stupid to listen. Morons are morons. You can't change a Trump supporter. They can't be redeemed by common sense.

To make it go viral just prior to the election. There are always moderates who can be swayed.

Holy crap. Senator Chris Murphy says top Trump administration officials resisted calls from senators during a meeting on Feb. 5 ― a day prior to Trump’s acquittal in the Senate ― urging them to request emergency funding and to stockpile supplies to deal with the coming crisis.“They said they had it covered. Didn’t need any additional funding. What a fatal screw up,” Murphy tweeted.
Feb. 5, Murphy tweeted: “Just left the Administration briefing on Coronavirus. Bottom line: they aren't taking this seriously enough. Notably, no request for ANY emergency funding, which is a big mistake. Local health systems need supplies, training, screening staff etc. And they need it now.”
Meanwhile, on Feb 7th, just two days later, the Trump Administration gloats about having sent medical supplies to China:
"This week the State Department has facilitated the transportation of nearly 17.8 tons of donated medical supplies to the Chinese people, including
masks, gowns, gauze, respirators, and other vital materials. These donations are a testament to the generosity of the American people."

So much for "America first."

This was shared with me today and it is by far the most exhaustive timeline I've seen of Trump's Corona catastrophe

Don't worr.y When this is all over, Trump wil sue the coronavirus and get all the money back for the economy. On a serious note, Trump is sounding a lot more presidential lately. It's like he finally understands that he can't BS his way through this like he does with everything else. He could send out tweets denying the numbers that are being reported, calling the stats fake news. Instead it's like a switch has been flipped in his head, and he has accepted the science and the the reality of the situation.

He absolutely has NOT sounded more Presidential lately. Are you kidding me? As a refresher check his Twitter account:
http://www.trumptwitterarchive.com/
Or google any montage of his pressers where he attacks reporters. In the last few days. Because they quote him.
C’mon, man.
Edit: This is what Trump has done with the office. He’s lowered the bar so low, has tarnished the office so thoroughly, that if he manages to get through a presser or two without sounding like an abject idiot he’s all of a sudden sounding more Presidential lately. I want you to think about that for a second. And worst of all there’s absolutely nothing at all that seems to register with his base. Go ahead and check the comments on Twitter. It’s a cult. 100% the GOP has become a cult. No question.

Okay, I'm probably giving him way too much credit, but he's spent his entire life setting the bar really low for himself. He said the following things yesterday:
"I want every American to be prepared for the hard days that lie ahead. We're going to go through a very tough two weeks."
"It’s absolutely critical for the American people to follow the guidelines for the next 30 days. It’s a matter of life and death, frankly."
I can't recall him sounding more presidential during this outbreak than when he spoke like that.

Trump officials recently contacted Thai officials to request they send a bunch of supplies to the US. The incredulous Thai officials responded by pointing out that the US was requesting precisely the same supplies the US had just sent to Thailand. The US then halted all aid it was sending out so they figure out what, exactly, they were doing. The Trump admin is, always has been, and always will be a clown car of bewildering incompetence.
