Good lord:

The doctor who led the federal agency involved in developing a coronavirus vaccine said he was removed from his post after he pushed for testing of hydrochloroquine being pushed by Trump before its use as a treatment.

He also claims the Trump admin was pressuring him and other scientists to fund dubious companies with political connections to Trump.

If Democrats had a functioning party and Congress existed, this probably should be something there should be hearings on.

The Susan Collins disappointment meter is starting to twitch a bit. This one might produce a defcon 2 brow furrow before it is all done.

Well, at least you've gone from asserting it as a fact to claiming it's plausible. That's progress. Still, the problem is that all the evidence we have is inconsistent with the existence of a "cluster" of unusual pneumonias in late November. The two anonymously sourced media articles are simply contrary to all the facts we have. In fact, to take those articles at face value is walk deep into conspiracy theory territory -- that alarming reports were disseminated to Israel and NATO and nobody said or did anything in response. I would describe taking these two media articles at face value and using them as the basis to even suggest that there was a cluster in late November that was large enough and unusual enough to attract the attention of U.S. Intelligence agencies as ridiculous.
Neither report claims that "alarming reports" were sent to allies that did nothing. It's perfectly consistent to imagine that intelligence reports initially included a reference to "there's signs of a disease cluster here" in a body of information without that rising to the level of alarm because "dangerous things on the radar" has a lot of ground to cover in intelligence sharing. The ABC reporting paints a picture of initial intelligence awareness in late November followed by increasing awareness up the chain to the point that it's reasonable to surmise it was part of information for Presidential briefing by mid/late December.
From the abc article:
The report was the result of analysis of wire and computer intercepts, coupled with satellite images. It raised alarms because an out-of-control disease would pose a serious threat to U.S. forces in Asia -- forces that depend on the NCMI’s work. And it paints a picture of an American government that could have ramped up mitigation and containment efforts far earlier to prepare for a crisis poised to come home.

"Analysts concluded it could be a cataclysmic event," one of the sources said of the NCMI’s report
A report that “raised alarms” can be fairly described as “alarming” don’t you think? And cataclysms sounds alarming to me. I

Ajax should be happy. I hit a drive-through today and I just got the "meal" because I'm not familiar with the menu. That means I got fries and a drink, which I normally don't get. I remembered this thread and told them not to give me a straw. I doubt where I live, they ever get such requests and they gave me a straw anyway, which put me in a quandary since I would have to touch the straw and hand it back to them, so I just took it. Since it already had the lid on, I just used the straw.

When we drink our bleach should we use a plastic, paper, or metal straws for that? I think we need to talk this out because god forbid we screw up.

Imagine if China wanted to unleash bioterrorism on the US. Look how effective this accident was for them and how convenient it has been for the Democratic party.

TWO PLANKS, FOLKS!

Back here on planet earth Trump said the US would 'probably' be sending ventilators to Germany 'should they need them.'

Huh?

'We have tremendous capacity now over-capacity of ventilators,' Trump said.

Oh.

Assuming this is true, what has your President done about it? I mean, it all happened under his watch, and he still seems oblivious to what you "know."
