This is a wild story. Pro-lifers have been using Norma McCorvey, the "Roe" of Roe vs. Wade, as public advocate for a while under the idea that she was a born-again religious convert who realized the evils of abortion. If you've ever listened to pro-lifers long enough, you've heard this talking point come up.

Turns out, shortly before her death she confessed that this was a con she was being paid for by anti-abortion groups. Just paying someone to lie for the Lord.

Conservatives think abortion is murder, for them dishonesty is a necessary evil to prevent a greater evil.

But is it clear that a first trimester abortion is not murder. Something without a cerebral cortex shouldn't have human rights.

Why should I care about Roe vs Wade? Nobody cares about me and my life won't get any better with Roe vs Wade.

Something without a brain?
Something without a cerebral cortex. The cerebral cortex forms after 20 weeks.

That's what you should have said to start with.
