Join Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and our friends for a Nationwide Livestream Star Party!
You can view objects in the night sky around the country from the comfort of your own living room as observatories and astronomers come together to livecast what they're seeing in their telescopes.
Presenters include:
- Derek Demeter, Justin Cirillo, Frank Kane: Emil Buehler Planetarium, Seminole State College | Central Florida Astronomical Society, Florida
- Brian Cummins: NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, Virgina
- Martin Ratcliffe: Wichita State University Cohen Honors College, Kansas
- Pieter Strauss: Astronomer, on Behalf of Utah Astronomy Club, Colorado
- Amy C. Oliver: Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory | NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, Arizona
- Travis Deyoe: Mount Lemmon Sky Center, Arizona
Connect with your local or state astronomical group. I'm sure they've got a Facebook group like mine has. If I see more offerings I'll post them on this thread. They posted this one because they cancelled a local star party due to the pandemic.

Yes Jersey Girl. Please do. What is your state? (If it is okay to ask).
I heard a lot of good things about Colorado. I think it is on the top 10 states.
We love it here! We're also higher in elevation. I can see the Big Dipper right outside my back door every night framed by tall pines. Looks so close you feel like you could reach out and touch it and the meteor showers are divine! :-)

Hopefully we can meet in person when I visit Colorado.
