I hope Biden doesn't get the nomination.
The Washington Post reported on October 8, 2002
"Some U.S. intelligence and U.N. weapons officials have disputed that assertion, saying there is little evidence Iraq could deliver weapons far beyond its borders."
https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/ ... 65b42468f/
"Saddam Hussein is unlikely to initiate a chemical or biological attack against the United States" October 9, 2002
https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/ ... ea2b575f6/
"Based on available information, there is no new evidence, no new precipitating event, no new threatening actions by the Iraqi government, no new reason to go to war that did not exist one, two, four, or even six years ago."
Powers, Gerald. "Would an invasion of Iraq be a ‘just war’?." United States Institute of Peace Special Report 98 (2003).

What the hell is wrong people? Why were people so stupid?

The original content of this post was how Biden is no worse than Trump. I was going to respond, but it was then erased. So, um, yeah.

Something tells me you supported the Iraq War. How is Biden morally superior?

I strongly opposed the Iraq War. Kevin Graham got super mad at me because of it and stuff.

This board didn't exist in 2003, let alone had a backup. EA is taking about a time so long ago and in a board far far away many ex-Mormons on this board weren't ex. I had been in a bishopric up to the year before then and was not yet on the path that led to my journey out of the LDS faith.
You don't think EA opposed the invasion if Iraq? That would be odd to me given its very consistent with his expressed views.and libertarian values he's presented on the board in the past.
I was a member of the military at the time. I didn't agree that the evidence supported invasion or that there were weapons of mass destruction. In March 2003 that was a minority view in the military. I have friends who lost their lives because of that decision to invade. It affected my life and family to some, thankfully small, degree compared to many people. I personally was never in harm's way and don't envy those who were. But I don't hold it against Biden. Certainly not in the same way I hold being a terrible person and unqualified for the job of President against Trump.
DT, why do you have such a hard time making choices between things that aren't your first preference? It seems like we are repeating the same discussions from 2016 yet you forget the entire dialog about the supreme court that followed.
Whatever it is you want in a leader, you aren't going to find them in any real world. Kinda like your unrealistic views on relationships.

Yes maybe, but that was a long long time ago. At the time he was probably having fun and partying a lot. I don't think he was political nerd at the time.
