Oh, I did see a story about a Facebook employee walkout. Maybe it has something to do with that.

Don't know, but I just read the NPR article on it and they had a virtual walkout yesterday (apparently some Twitter folks joined them). Maybe it hasn't ended.

Just for context, the Facebook staff is largely upset that Zuckerberg won't do anything about Trump's incendiary posts, so this.

The recent Trump stuff is more of a final straw, though, against a backdrop of Facebook enabling genocide, political oppression, etc. abroad and being captured by Republican operatives' PR domestically. Zuck's got money to make and if a few eggs gotta get cracked to make it, then so be it. That's challenging to balance against a liberal, well-educated workforce.

The black boxes though is an attempt to show solidarity with BLM.
