Atlanta Police Chief Resigns After Another Killing

Friday night a 27 year old black male Rayshard Brooks was sitting in a Wendy's parking lot because he was too drunk to drive. He was asleep when cops arrived on the scene and gave him a sobriety test which he failed. A physical struggle ensued, he resisted arrest, the two white cops tased him but he managed to take the taser away and run off. After running about 50 ft away one of the two cops shoots him and he fell dead right in front of several other cars waiting in drive through. The surveillance footage from Wendy's was just released:

Notice that after he was gunned down, one of the cops appears to be standing over him and kicking him. A car is in the way but the upper body motion would indicate that's what he's doing.

What better way for the police force to respond to social unrest and tension with local communities after several unjustified killings of unarmed black men the past few months.

FOX News is spinning this as the Chief resigning because she is tired of watching her policemen being expected to do their jobs while being put in straitjackets, but I haven't seen any quotations from her to suggest that her resignation had anything to do with her being fed up with the public.

Dude was blacked out drunk behind the wheel, blocking a Wendy's drive-through. Cops called, did a sobriety test, dude failed. Cops try to arrest him, he goes completely psycho fighting and overpowering both cops. Dude goes for a cops gun, cop stops him, dude knocks him over then decks the other cop, grabs a taser and runs. Cop who still has his taser chases, dude turns around and fires stolen taser at him. Cop then drops him with 3 shots. Why shoot him? He fired off a taser. There was literally no need to execute the man. Let him run away. You got his car. Just pick him up later on a warrant.

Bananas. Especially so given, I dunno, massive violent (and peaceful) protests everywhere.

Wendy's burned to the ground and protesters gathered to shut down traffic on Atlanta's interstate last night.

Video has emerged claiming to catch the arsonist in the act. Some mysterious white woman appears to be doing something in the window as the restaurant burns, but it is unclear if she started the fire. The onlookers claim, "Look some white woman starting the fires, it wasn't us."

There's smoke coming from the building and a woman doing "something" by extending her arm through a completely smashed out window. So of course, "White woman shown starting the fire!"

WTF is wrong with people?
