Walk Hard - Dewey Cox

Has anyone here watched this movie? I finally checked it out the other night.
This is a classic case for me of having incredibly low expectations going in and being really surprised. I laughed to spite myself over and over.
It's essentially one of those movies that makes fun of a genre, in this case, rock star biopics. Some of the gags are silly in the same vain as Airplane! jokes, but it's mostly self-referential and chock full of movie making tropes. My favorite (***SPOILER ALERT***) is Dewey constantly busting into rooms where his drummer is doing drugs, turning around to tell him, "You don't want no part of this, Dewey" and then totally selling him on doing it. I also loved at the beginning of the film, Dewey is standing backstage in the dark with his hand against the wall, just thinking... The stage manager is telling Dewey it's time to go on, but another person there tells him something like, "You don't understand. Dewey has to think about his whole life before he performs..." which then leads into the whole movie about his life.
I think it might be the kind of movie that gets better with repetitive watching. Some of the song lyrics are hilarious, and I know I missed a bunch.
Anyone else like this movie?
