Kanye West for President?

Kanye West again says he will run for president

Third party candidates are usually spoilers for someone. West seems like a mental case to me, so I don't follow him or know anything about his politics. Whose vote would this cut into more, Trump's or Biden's?

Paris Hilton tweeted that she's running too.

Does this mean they admit being wrong about supporting Trump?

Kanye West running for President is an act of supporting Trump.

Seems like they'd be splitting the moron vote.

I wish these celebrities would shut their mouths. Like it or not they are influencers and we've already got a celebrity in the White House. Ain't working out very well.

The cynic in me said, "Hmm, wonder what new project Kayne has coming out that needs the free advertising that comes with a cheap controversial tweet?" Turned out he has a lot: A new album, a new GAP clothing line, an animated show, and other music collabs. Sounds like a plug for brand Kayne.

That, or he's soft testing his appeal for replacing Pence on the Trump ticket...

I suspect you are right, but that would presuppose that Kanye would draw more voters away from Biden than from Trump. Is this really a realistic expectation?

I have sometimes gotten the impression that Trump would really like to replace Pence as his running mate if he could, but Kanye?

It would be good for ratings...if you use the logic of reality TV. Which, let's be honest, is the only logic Trump applies to anything. Disenfranchised African American voters who don't think Biden represents real change could be convinced to stay home or vote write in or something.

But I said that as a joke. The money motive says he wanted free advertising and we're giving it to him.

When the votes are counted, it will be interesting to see how many voted for him.
