Trump Throws His Own Supporters Under The Bus
"President Donald Trump provided a video interview with Las Vegas Review-Journal before a Sunday night political rally his campaign held in Henderson, Nevada. The packed political event has raised reasonable public health concerns as very few attendees appeared to be following the CDC’s social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines, making the crowded indoor event even more dangerous amid the coronavirus pandemic.
At one point, reporter Debra J. Saunders confronted President Trump about the risk of contracting the potentially deadly contagion, asking “Aren’t you concerned about Covid though in an enclosed room?” President revealed that he was not concerned, and when pressed, provided a potentially revealing answer.
“Because you know why? I’m on a stage, and it’s very far away,” Trump said. “And so I’m not at all concerned.”"
Even without seeing this video, it should be blatantly obvious by now that Trump doesn't care in the slightest about the health and well-being of others, only whether or not they support him. This is so blazingly obvious by now, that I am at complete loss to understand how he can manage to have such a hold on any significant number of people, let alone close to 1/3 or more of the American electorate!

Stockholm Syndrome. They've bought in emotionally, are unable to internalize that they don't deserve abuse (all these moronic white men acting like abused wives, ready to bend over and take another ass-reaming should Trump deign to point his tiny dick their way), and have decided to make excuses for their idiotic choice rather than face the harsh reality they are fu-cking stupid to support him.

By the way, if I treated my fans the way Trump does and they still came crawling back for more abuse, I would have disdain for them as well. It's hard to respect people who don't respect themselves.

Any honest citizens who share his love of democracy and utter disdain for utterly corrupt, pathologically dishonest, narcissistic, self serving cruel despots like Trump obviously aspires to become. Trump is actually on record publicly stating that he wished he could have the unquestioning adoration, power and advantage that tyrants like Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping enjoy.

Trump is actually on record publicly stating that he wished he could have the unquestioning adoration, power and advantage that tyrants like Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping enjoy.
It's funny because I didn't think much of Donald Trump as a TV Show host. But I've loved that man since the day he came down the escalator. And thus far he's only given me reasons to love him more. Try as they might, the left will never separate Trump from his base. They hate Trump's base so badly that their lies are weak and have no power over the base.

Why are so many Republican politicians, especially in the Senate, seemingly so hell bent on risking political suicide by promoting policies and Justices that they must know, if they are paying any attention at all, are strongly opposed by an overwhelmingly majority of the electorate? For example:
Even a majority of voters in red dates object to taking away The ACA, as long as you don't call it Obamacare.
In some cases, Republicans have concocted pretty convoluted ways to do Obamacare without saying they’re doing Obamacare, to get other Republicans to go along.

Perhaps, but to me it seems more akin to backfire effect than Stockholm syndrome.
