Fossil fuel leaders going green
Far from being a villain, big oil is perhaps one of the most important allies for renewable energy. The world's oil supermajors generate significant levels of cash flow, boast infrastructure networks that span the globe, and have the most to lose from falling behind the technology curve. It's still early in the oil and gas industry's transition, but the largest energy companies are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for dominating clean energy supply chains.

No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Okay that is better. So does Trump ,who continues to promote the fuel fossil industry, not know what's going on right under his nose?

Duh! Has that not long been obvious?

Yes, it has been obvious to me. He really has no self awareness at all because while he's pitching fossil fuels he further exposes himself as uninformed...and he's supposed to be the President. Not for long, I hope!

Fossil fuel companies know their days are finite. They will still wring every dollar they can out of fossil fuels as long as there’s profit in it. But they also will invest in what they think will be profitable years from now.

Fracking is close to killing off the coal industry. Natural gas for coal is a good trade in the short term. Longer term, renewables are already starting to undercut fracking. The key thing right now is not to subsidize the dirtiest, unconventional sources of oil. Tar sands, I’m looking at you.

Biden is now being disparaged for stating or implying advocacy for transitioning away from fossil fuels to achieve a carbon neutral economic system, Biden’s oil slip-up gives Trump campaign hope in Pa., Texas. Some are even going so far as to suggest that he has thereby killed any hope of winning the election. Why? He has only told the truth that at least starting such a transition is not only desirable and good for the country, but will rapidly become increasingly imperative in the years to come. That this is threatening to derail his bid for the presidency only underscores the irrationality and venality of the overwhelming influence and power that the fossil fuel industry and its enormous wealth still holds over politics and public policy, particularly over conservatives.

Apparently, more people have early voted as of yesterday than all the early votes in 2016, and most of them are Dem voters. Even if Biden screwed up royally in the debate, a good chunk of the vote's already banked.
