Yes. As I understand it, it is well documented and not at all controversial that Russians have been and are active promoters of disinformation designed to promote Trump's reelection chances, and discredit his opponents. This is no big secret, and should give a great deal of pause any honest individuals considering voting for Trump. The Senate intelligence committee's conclusion that Russians are maliciously meddling in the American electoral process on Trump's behalf was bipartisan, and not really controversial. https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/18/politics ... index.html

Like Gunnar said, when people like Trump (who lies as a natural response to being asked a question) tell stories against their opponents, those stories start life under a heavy handicap of negative credibility, whoever the opponent might be.
