I could likewise ask, what is wrong with you? You have a lot of self-righteous arrogance regarding gun handling, but I do believe that you really are as careful as you say, and that you really do take it very seriously, and that you really do know guns very well -- far better than I do.

At the same time, you've noted in the past that you've composed posts while driving, hence the grammatical errors.

Prior to the fact, why should Alec have taken any more safety precautions when he picks up a gun as an actor and non-specialist than you take when you get in the car with a phone as a driver?

The takeaway is that you should either be a little more sympathetic to the position Alec is in, or you should be far harder on yourself for your driving practices.
You must be [personal attack deleted - cp]. Alec Baldwin was probably making at least 15 million off of this movie. Is it too much to ask a multi millionaire to make sure the gun he is firing doesn't have live rounds?!?!?! Are you fxxxin kiddin me! I don't care how many people safety check the gun before it's actually put in his hands, he's the last safety check, PERIOD!!!! If he's going to point a gun at someone, he's 100% responsible for what comes out of the barrel. It's not rocket science. It was a six shooter, all he had to do was look at six rounds. Is that to much to ask of a spoiled rich white guy that likes to call his daughter a PIG?

A man with his temperament shouldn't be shooting a gun towards someone,I don't care if it's live rounds or blanks.

Someone on the internet said Alec said he was sorry. So these snowflakes here googled “armorer” and they love Alec because he is so hatey of Trump so they think he is sorry enough that we shouldn’t make fun of him if we ever posted from a car. Fupid Stucks.

Maybe he could play Dick Cheney?

Sadly there have been several accidental deaths with prop guns. The fact that Baldwin plays a character with a gun does not make him a hypocrite, any more than playing a child molester makes you a hypocrite if you are against child abuse.
By the way. “F” that.

He pointed a real gun at someone and pulled the trigger, it was NOT AN ACCIDENT. There is a tragic consequence, but no accidents.
Lots of people feeling stupid right now. Apparently he didn't "pull the trigger" as he and another witness stated.

The only way I can think of this being true is someone cocked the hammer and some sort of mechanical failure caused it to deploy, which is kind of bananas if there’s an armorer on set.

by the way, I’m watching Thursday Night Foosball and my thumb 100% didn’t depress the mute button when Erin Andrews was giving the audience one of her very important sideline hot takes. I happened to hold the remote, and I did point the remote at my tv, but my thumb didn’t depress the mute button. I don’t know what happened.

Yeah im watching the game too.

Apparently Baldwin was directed to just cock the hammer back, in that scene. The camera wasn't rolling as he was getting instructions from someone on how to cock it back. He said he pulled the hammer back and when he let go of it, the gun fired. His finger wasn't on the trigger and the hammer shouldn't have released. A gun expert explained on CNN how this was plausible.

I think it’d be pretty easy to figure out if the hammer catch was either damaged or, well, I dunno. I’m not an armorer - I have no idea what would cause a cocked hammer to do that. Do you by chance have a link to that CNN interview?

I don't, but I looked and weird enough, the gun expert everyone is using this morning says his story isn't plausible. The guy i saw was a different guy and he said it was possible. In any event, there is a witness to what happened and it support's Baldwin's claim.
Assistant director Dave Halls told his attorney Lisa Torraco that Mr Baldwin’s “finger was never in the trigger guard,” she told ABC News.

“Dave has told me since the very first day I met him that Alec did not pull that trigger,” Ms Torraco reiterated on Thursday’s Good Morning America.

“The entire time, Baldwin had his finger outside the trigger guard, parallel to the barrel. [Halls] told me since day one that he thought it was a misfire,” Torraco continued.

“It was a pure accident – freak, awful accident [that] unfortunately killed somebody.”
