Negligence and accidental are not opposites. Many accidents involve negligent conduct.

Thanks for the additional information, Lem. I suspect we’ll be finding out more details as the investigation continues.

Nobody points a real gun at someone and pulls the trigger accidentally.
In every accidental shooting, a real gun is pointed at someone and then the trigger is pulled.

That's not what that article implied. But, you'll delete this nonsense soon, just like every other post, so there's no point in engaging, other than to note your conclusion is not supported.
Jesus Christ. Get me out of your head.

That is not true. Guns get dropped. All sorts of things happen. In this case, someone pointed a loaded gun at another person and pulled the trigger.

A dropped gun is an accidental discharge.

It seems there were three accidental discharges before the union crew left. This one happened just hours after the non-union crew took over.

Typical for you. What’s your point?

So a man points a gun at someone and pulls the trigger, is it an accident if the bullet hits the target?

If the gun had discharged unpredictably, that could have been accidental. But in this case, someone pointed the gun and pulled the trigger.

Alec Baldwin pointed a gun at someone and pulled the trigger with WHAT expectation?

Tell me. The expectation and the probable outcome and the possible outcomes are all different.
