The Unlimited Stupidity of the GOP

Big Bird got 'vaccinated' against COVID-19, drawing outrage from Republicans

Now the GOP is upset because Big Bird had the audacity to mention he got a COVID vaccination. They're saying idiotic crap like Sesame Street is brainwashing kids (like they give a damn about that - brainwashing is all the "teaching" they do. They indoctrinate them in damned religion, for Christ sake). Ted Cruz called it "government propaganda" (again, completely pretending that's not what he's doing with that damned retarded tweet).

There is no bottom to GOP stupidity, malevolence, and projection. "Hypocrisy" is the title of their user manual.

I think it is not so much that they are themselves stupid as it is that they believe or hope that the majority of their most loyal constituents are stupid, disinformed and/or gullible enough to be swayed by those nonsensical arguments,

It has long been increasingly obvious to me that most leading Republicans are determined to characterize anything the Democrats accomplish or try to do as bad, even things that they used to advocate themselves when they were in power, or would still advocate if they were now in power. Their overriding goal now is not to propose or work for adequate and truly helpful solutions, but to prevent Democrats from accomplishing anything worthwhile at all for which they could properly and legitimately claim credit.
