Stories you never hear about from FOX or Brietbart.

Why can't we find real men to be cops? Men who don't need to resort to shooting when dealing with the unarmed. The benefits are far outweighed by the costs.

There were reports of gunfire in the report which originally drew the police to the scene. More information is needed before we can judge the police actions in this case, rather than kneejerk reactions. At this time it is premature to judge the police actions. More information is required.

I'll judge them. They killed a little girl needlessly. The guy had a padlock in his hand. "Reports of gunfire" with no gun? Right. Probably BS but even if true and someone lied in a 911 call, they could see the man was clearly unarmed when they engaged him. More importantly, they should understand their surroundings.

The police were returning padlock fire.

I don't doubt this video will be used in the future about what not to do as a police officer. I think Cops in the US on average seem to be too trigger happy and changes need to be brought in to address this, but this video shows a situation of what not to do as a cop. The officer did a great job up until he saw he had a gun. He should have brought his gun out as soon as he could see the individual was trying to remove something from his pocket, and then fired a few rounds into him when he removed a gun and refused to put it down. Backing up was wise to try and diffuse the situation, but he still was incredibly stupid not to get his gun out as soon as he got behind cover. As a result he got a gun pointed directly at him as close range that was fired. He is very lucky to be alive. Proper restraint is what we want. Not stupidity that will get cops dead.

To all the new readers. Here's the facts. On average, there's 53 million police encounters in the USA annually. On average, the police shoot and kill around 1200 people a year, the vast majority of those shootings are 100% legitimate. If we calculate the lethal Force rate with the entire population of the United States the rate is found to be around 0.00000343477%.

Do mistakes happen, yes. The police are human, putting on a badge doesn't make them super heroes.
