Looks just like a revenge porn website. Let's dox a bunch of people!

They're dead, so it's ok right? How about a website that lists all the women that have had an abortion?

At Least 7 Anti-Vaccine, Anti-Mask Conservative Activists Have Died of COVID-19 in Recent Weeks
Sadly, this evidence doesn't faze most anti-vaxxers. It only causes some of them to generate ever more extreme conspiracy theories and plots. I read of at least one Q-anon group threatening to murder doctors who failed to save the lives of anti-vaxxers who were under their care at the time they died of covid, accusing them of deliberate murder in order to permanently silence the anti-vaxxer skeptics.

Not really. Women who have had an abortion are not advocating that others should refrain from taking measures that would greatly reduce the risk of serious (possibly long-term disabling) illness or death on the part of the people they are trying to persuade.

Antivax promoters are doing just that. When they get ill and die after following their own misleading advice,It is appropriate to publicise that fact, since so doing may may dissuade others from following their advice.

Yeah, it's equally as likely to do exactly the opposite.

It would be like posting photos of what rape victims were wearing to make women wear something different. The problem is the rapists. The problem is COVID disinformation. Don't blame the victims.

You want to communicate to Anti-Vaxxers that their position is not based in fact about the dangers of vaccines. Here are 2 strategies:
  • Mock them and tell them how stupid they are.
  • Explain how the tragedy has happened because of false information.
After 2 years of pandemic, most people feel frustration that Covid is being aided and abetted by anti-vaxxers. I get it. But the object should be to change behavior. Mocking people makes them feel defensive and angry. It's counter-productive.

How is it mocking them?

These people made themselves public figures. They loved the attention they got from helping COVID kill more people. Why should attention on them disappear after COVID kills them too?

Active antivaxxers who set out to influence others to resist vaccination and then fall ill and die (and these, I understand, are who we are talking about here) are not victims. They are perpetrators.

I wish I had seen this thread before starting one on the same topic. You must have watched the same CNN segment I did which provided the link to sorryantivaxxers.com
