"Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds", for example.
What's the difference between that and trespassing?

Check out the information in my last post above.

Makes sense. Throw rocks and Molotov coxktails at the police in Kenosha and burn down some no name citizens house or business in the name of George Floyd and the cackler will bail you out immediately if you're even charged at all. But walk into Nancy's house uninvited and they'll lock you up and throw away the key. The so called insurrection lasted a few hours. BLM's strikes on government buildings went on all summer.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Ajax, we discussed this issue of fact checking before posting before, right?

Most reporting shows well over 10,000 arrests associated with the protests. And while many were for low-level infractions hundreds were charged with crimes related to looting and violence, damaging property and disorderly conduct.

Honestly, what is it you think is going on that you imagine the attack on the People's House is being dealt with in a heavy handed way? It's the Capital building where one of the most important processes in our democracy was underway and the insurrection aimed to disrupt that process. You don't have America in any coherent sense without the peaceful transfer of power as the result of an election.

You're so oblivious to your racist sentiments here, effectively proving white privilege exists in the way you act surprised and disgusted that white people could possibly be held in prison for petty crimes. You're completely OK with it when the majority of folks overrunning our prisons are minorities who couldn't afford attorneys, but because your idiot cult of white privileged traitors are experiencing hard time, suddenly you're outraged. What's worse, your abject ignorance on this subject means you're also making a false equivalence with those who engaged in violence during BLM protests, of which over 90% were peaceful, another significant portion were started by counter-protesters, and another significant portion had nothing to do with the protests at all, but were simply criminals looking to take advantage of the fact that cops had consolidated themselves in certain corners of the cities. Of course all of this could have been easily avoided had cops across the country stopped beating and murdering black Americans with impunity, but we've seen how you respond to that issue as well. You respond to it like any white supremacist would be expected to respond to it. Blindly blame black people, downplay or dismiss any wrongdoing by cops and try to dig up anything from a victim's past to justify their murder.

I already demonstrated that virtually every death that resulted from the 6 months of protests were the result of counter-protesting idiots coming to start trouble.

I'm saying that there is a double standard in how BLM protesters have been treated versus how the capital protesters were treated. The anti Covid lockdown protesters were treated in a much more heavy handed way than the BLM protesters as well. I'm sure Kishkumen was on board with beauticians being jailed for opening their salons and going to work during the scamdemic, unless of course it was the salon where Nancy Pelosi or Lori Lightfoot got their hair done. How are the BLM riots so important that they're worth breaking quarantine but going to work isn't? Why is it a civil right to break COVID quarantine and social distancing guidelines to protest the death of George Floyd but not within our civil rights to go to work and make a living?
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Either you’re concerned about incursions into government buildings, or you’re not. Which is it?

The answer should be obvious. He's now calling the pandemic a scamdemic. His beloved Trump mishandled it as one might expect an infant to, and hundreds of thousands of Americans died as a result.

We're talking about whether the prison system is being overrun by excessive sentences for nonviolent crime.

An insurrection would have been men with machine guns in combat gear and taking control of the building for months. What you're calling an insurrection was a couple hundred unarmed idiots in horned helmets walking and in some cases being led into the capital building. And how long did this insurrection stop the peaceful transfer of power? Were they successful in stopping the congressional counting of delegates? Then you try to say it was like this military operation with massive numbers of casualties where the insurrectionists killed a bunch of police and congressmen. Officer Brian Sicknick had a heart attack which had more to do with his condition than it had to do with any injury he sustained. Beyond that, the only other person to die was Ashleigh Babbit. The Republic of Chaz lasted at least a month longer than your so called insurrection. More people were killed there as well.

Since we're talking about government buildings, what happened to the BLM arsonists who burnt down the government buildings in Portland during summer of love BLM protests of 2020? Were they even caught? Does anyone even know? You'd never find out by watching CNN.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

I was questioning your statements on trespassing, but now you've suddenly jumped to talking about the meaning of ‘insurrection’. I’m not sure why. But it’s safe to say that your definition of what sort of machinery must be in play to qualify a rioting bunch of trespassers for the title of insurrection will be disappointing to folks who have logged the history of such events occurring prior to the invention of machine guns.

Also - if you want to know who has been arrested, charged and convicted for protests in Portland, you can probably find that information pretty easily. Here’s a good starting point, for an overview:

I don’t recall any government buildings in Portland burnt down in 2020, let alone by BLM Marxists. In this area, Burning stuff is usually done by mostly white anarchists.
