How are we feeling about this draft being leaked? I think this is a pretty bad precedent and comes with a lot of complications. Generally I like that Supreme Court work goes on behind the scenes to avoid the political theatre that exists so prominently in other sectors, especially the Legislative arm. I appreciate that lots of deliberation happens in a way and place that both those arguing cases before them and the Justices can discuss freely without fear of the media circus. For all we know the actual opinion will be drastically different than this one that circulated in early February.

I'll disagree with the overturning, if it does in fact happen (which was highly likely before this release but seems a certainty now), but I'd rather do so when it actually happens and by addressing the arguments actually released by the majority.
Leaking is a real problem that is just not going to go away anytime soon,, on either side. In the old days a leak might have been a sneaked out document or a photo mailed to a news paper reporter…nowadays every one has a camera and access to millions with a push of a button. The person who did this, should be severely punished in my opinion. The DOJ needs to get the leaker, who is most likely an attorney and at the least disbar them.

This was a leak to skew opinion and the election…it isn’t about abortion it is about politics. It is about stirring the pot.

Then there is the planned leak, where they do it on purpose for other reasons…like if a administration screws upon something, they might leak it out on a Friday night to let it settle over the weekend…or just a leak for polling to see if a decision will fly or not.

The Supreme Court is just a circus, so the leak doesn't really matter. Markk!

See if you agree with everything Carlin presents here like I do. in my opinion the man was totally on point. If I belonged to a political party, the name of the party would be George Carlin. Video runs 3 minutes and 7 seconds.

The Carlin clip was very good, and I think he's right, mainly when it comes to men.

I had a sort-of girlfriend a very, very long time ago who was pro-life, she was Christian, and she didn't convince me to become pro-life by any means, but she convinced me she was sincerely pro-life. She had kind of a different set of arguments that I hadn't heard before, and really, I don't see the point of getting into them because they aren't hard to puncture, but I could see where she was coming from. I think someone woman are really pro-life. I'm pretty sure there are few if any men who are sincerely pro life, and it's exactly as Carlin says, they are anti-woman.

Ajax provides the gradient of the typical male perspective, it goes all the way to a prison sentence if not execution for pre-marital sex, or sex for any reason other than childbirth. What these men are saying, is that any woman who had sexual pleasure with somebody other than himself personally, deserves to be punished for it. Every cult that takes Christian values to the next level ends up with a male leader who has sexual access to as many adult women and young girls as possible while depriving as many other men of sexual access as possible. Yes, this is a slippery slope, it's one we've actually seen happen many times.

Any man I've ever heard make a pro-life argument whether on this board or in real life, has also revealed either extreme anger towards women due to feeling rejected, or they have a history of being womanizers. My right-wing friend, for instance, is fanatically pro-life, and has a life history of womanizing, both before and after he said the salvation prayer to become Christian.

I find this remarkable! Why would promiscuous womanizers choose to be fanatically anti-abortion when any woman they seduce who gets pregnant could legally sue them for paternity and child support? Obviously they are thinking with some part of their anatomy other than their brain!
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Ajax provides the gradient of the typical male perspective,
Typical huh? Is that why absolutely nobody on this board and very few people in real life agree with me on outlawing premarital sex, and make people pass a financial competency requirement before they are allowed to have children?
it goes all the way to a prison sentence if not execution for pre-marital sex,
Women are having babies in prison now due to inmates playing the transgender card. Why would I want them in prison where they can punish the taxpayer many times over by multiplying?
or sex for any reason other than childbirth.
Now you're just lying and intentionally twisting what I said.
What these men are saying, is that any woman who had sexual pleasure with somebody other than himself personally, deserves to be punished for it.

I'm saying that I'm sick and tired these welfare queens multiplying on the taxpayer dime with no intention of ever becoming self reliant. And to be fair, it's not just the welfare queens that need to be dealt with. It's guys like this as well. And on this I'm certainly not the only one who thinks men like this should be serilized.

Tennessee Man With 30 Children By 11 Women, Begs State For Child Support Break After Paying $1.49 Per Month To His Baby Mamas

And guess what. All 11 of these women could have aborted their babies if they desired to do so. They could have used birth control if they wanted to. They knew this man had many other children with many other women. Yet they chose not just to have sex with this man but also chose to get pregnant and have these babies. Why? Because of the female drive to reproduce and have children and the fact that they knew the government would ultimately pay for it, just as the government paid for their mother, her grandmother, and 7 generations back now.
Every cult that takes Christian values to the next level ends up with a male leader who has sexual access to as many adult women and young girls as possible while depriving as many other men of sexual access as possible. Yes, this is a slippery slope, it's one we've actually seen happen many times.
Really? Does David Bednar have mulitple wives? I don't know how many children he has but he seems to have taken full responsibility for them.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

The point on being atypical is well taken.

you are not alone Ajax. Most people on this board are progressives, according to A-Mike, and in real life, you spend most of your time with democrats on the tennis court.
Women are having babies in prison now due to inmates playing the transgender card. Why would I want them in prison where they can punish the taxpayer many times over by multiplying?

At least you understand the financial burden of putting people in jail you don't like; do you understand the similar consequences of making abortion and birth control illegal? But anyway, what's the point of making something illegal if you're not prepared to put people in jail? You can fine low income people but they just won't pay, and all that's left is jail. And it's not just jail that's expensive, but court costs -- can you even imagine the costs involved of DAs prosecuting tens of thousands of people for pre-marital sex, something really difficult to prove.
Now you're just lying and intentionally twisting what I said.

sure, a little hyperbole to liven up the room. Hey, you right-wingers can't always have all the fun of saying whatever you want. At least I'm not parking a big rig in front of Binger's driveway and honking while I say it.
I'm saying that I'm sick and tired these welfare queens multiplying on the taxpayer dime with no intention of ever becoming self reliant. Right. Just like you're not the only one who thinks people should go to jail for fornication, many people think people should be sterilized for improper parenting. Those are usually the same people who think it's wrong to mandate vaccines, of course.
All 11 of these women could have aborted their babies if they desired to do so. They could have used birth control if they wanted to. They knew this man had many other children with many other women.
You are absolutely right. And what's really going to help the situation, is to outlaw abortion and birth control so that instead of 11 women, it's 1100 women. I know what you're trying to say, so I'm helping you out
This much is true: In the United States, the abortion rate for black women is almost five times that for white women
