Re: Worldle - Because There's More to Life than Word Games
Friday, May 27: I got today’s on my very first guess and am pretty proud of myself.
Now I’ll have to visit this “globle” you all are talking about.

Thanks for the update, Shades! It wasn't working for me two days in a row but it's up now.
If you had the same one I did and got it in the first try I'm very impressed.

Yeah, me too. I had forgotten that was even a country. I pinned down the continent on my second guess, but had to admit I was completely baffled and only got it after hunting for the shape on a map. The experience made me almost nostalgic for Greenland and El Salvador (a sentence perhaps never before written in the history of the world).Morley wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 1:15 pmNo kidding.honorentheos wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 12:31 pmThanks for the update, Shades! Well put. You have an incredible gift for language.Bret Ripley wrote: ↑Fri May 27, 2022 2:04 pmYeah, me too. I had forgotten that was even a country. Thanks Morley -- I appreciate your kindness, good sir.
Today the geography gods smiled upon me. Today's Worldle is one that I think most folks will get with little trouble, and I was lucky with Globle and got it in four. It may be the first time I didn't need a double-digit number of guesses with Globle -- it is a country that is often on my mind because I have much-missed relatives living there.

First, I second what Morley said.Bret Ripley wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 3:47 pmThanks Morley -- I appreciate your kindness, good sir.

Today's was definitely not the Sunday puzzle, and I'm more than glad to have an easier one. The boundary and flag both were recognizable which is a rare combination for me.
I noticed a detail today I missed yesterday. The puzzle is reset and today is #2. I presume yesterday was 1? I didn't notice that but perhaps it was out of frustration.
Globle...my average is 9 guesses and today kept that average unchanged. I try to start in different parts of the world each day but I'm thinking I'd do better if I had a constant first guess so I could better judge how far away the mystery country is.

Today’s—Sunday, May 29—took me two guesses, dang it.

Likewise. I'm too used to seeing it on a map with a North American bias.

I shall refrain from mentioning how I did on today's Worldle because nobody enjoys listening to a smug bastard.
