I am reminded of Psalm 29 in the version of the Book of Common Prayer:
19 Wilt thou not slay the wicked, O God : depart from me, ye blood-thirsty men.
20 For they speak unrighteously against thee : and thine enemies take thy Name in vain.
21 Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee : and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 Yea, I hate them right sore : even as though they were mine enemies.
"Please God, why not kill the bad guys?"
If only it were that simple ...

The Mexican government won't fight the cartels. So who is going to fight them? I bet most Mexicans wouldn't be opposed to the idea of the US military attacking the cartels.

The US military could target drug farms. I am not suggesting the military should attack cities.
What makes you think that thousands of children would die if the US military goes to Mexico?

I didn't say that. Just checking your morals. We targeted terrorists in the middle east and also killed children. Missiles don't know the difference.
Have you done any research on past attempts to stop the flow of drugs at the source?
