I guess the US can let the cartels kill innocent civilians and allow them to bring illegal drugs here.
What can the U.S.A. legally do otherwise?

Mercenaries.

Seriously?

Mexico isn't willing to accept help from the US, what makes you think Mexico would pay for mercenaries?

I guess the US can let the cartels kill innocent civilians and allow them to bring illegal drugs here.

And don't forget the cartels also do human trafficking.

I'm not suggesting the US should attack Mexico.
What military action are you hoping for? Would you have the US military make interventions in Mexico?

Did you initially support the invasion of Iraq? Are you now looking for redemption?

Something has to be done before things get worse. Mexico is sending a lot of illegal drugs here, so I think military action would be justified.

Gun control laws would work in the US, not in Mexico.

No and no. But that doesn't answer the question. Let's try again:

Have the Cartel sought the services of Xe LLC?

I too support Mexico taking military action against the US because of its insatiable illegal drug market, and supplying illegal firearms across borders.

You're right. Without the market for illegal drugs in the US, we here in Mexico* wouldn't have to put up with the cartels. And without the smuggling of firearms from Doubting Thomas's country, the cartels wouldn't be armed and we could beat them with sticks.

*disclaimer: I'm not really in Mexico, though I do like Mexican food and listening to mariachi bands. And siestas. Since I'm stereotyping, let me include siestas.
